WB Govt Nabanna Scholarship : The Nabanna Scholarship is a financial assistance program provided by the West Bengal Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to help students from economically weaker backgrounds to continue their furthers education. This scholarship is available for students pursuing Madhyamik, Higher Secondary (Class 12), undergraduate, and postgraduate studies in recognized institutions across the state. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Residency: The candidate must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Academic Performance:
- For Higher Secondary (Class 12): Must have passed the Madhyamik (Class 10) exam with at least 50% but below 60% marks.
- For Undergraduate Courses: Must have passed Higher Secondary (Class 12) with 50%–60% marks.
- For Postgraduate Courses: Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree with 50%–53% marks.
- Anualy Family Income: The total annual family income should not exceed 1,20,000 rupees.
- Course Enrollment: The candidate must be registered in a regular full-time course in West Bengal, including general degree courses and professional programs such as Engineering, Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, and Nursing will also take benefit .
Scholarship Amount
- For Undergraduate & Postgraduate Students (General Courses): ₹10,000 per year.
- For Professional Course Students (Engineering, Medical, etc.): Up to ₹12,000 per year (varies based on verification).
Application Procedure
Step 1: Prepare the Required Documents
Applicants need to submit the following documents along with the application form in online mode:
- Completed application form addressed to the Chief Minister.
- Recent fee payment receipt from the previous school or College.
- Must have Mark sheets of previous examinations.
- Income certificate issued by a government authority (DM/SDO/BDO).
- Must a Recommendation letter from an MP/MLA addressed to the Chief Minister.
- Self-declaration letter (signed by the institution’s head) confirming the student’s enrollment.
- Bank details (Photocopy of the passbook showing IFSC code and account number).
- Contact details (mobile number and email ID).
Step 2: How To Submit Application Form

Important Notes
- All Documents must be attested by a Group-A Government Officer.
- Of Course The scholarship is one-time per course level. Students can reapply when progressing to a higher course.
- There is no fixed application deadline, and applications are accepted throughout the year when the examination result published .
